Your privacy is fundamental to how this site works. Gamepad Tester was built on the principle that a diagnostic tool should never need to collect data about you. This policy explains precisely what data exists, how it is used, and why.
This site uses the HTML5 Gamepad API (navigator.getGamepads()), a standard browser interface. All controller data is read locally by JavaScript running in your browser tab. No controller data is transmitted to any server. The processing happens entirely on your device.
Like all websites, our hosting provider may record standard server access logs including your IP address, requested URL, browser user-agent, and timestamp. These logs are used solely for infrastructure diagnostics and security monitoring, are retained for a limited period (typically 30 days), and are not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log font requests. We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, or social media trackers. There are no third-party scripts beyond the font loader.
We do not set any cookies. The site works without cookies and does not require or request consent for tracking cookies.
This site is a diagnostic tool that collects no personal data and is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Since we collect no personal data, material changes are unlikely.
